MEETING of  CS/AIGETOA WITH CGMT & IFA, BIHAR CIRCLE ON 13th AUGUST’2010

A meeting between Wasi Ahmad, CS, AIGETOA, Bihar and the CGMT, Bihar Telecom Circle was held on 13th August’2010 regarding the non-settlement of various issues of DR JTOs of our circle. Specifically First Time bound up gradation (E1 to E2), Officiating promotion from JTO to SDE against the vacant posts, none receiving of EPF statement by various units, Settlement of request transfers were discussed. The CGMT has assured to address all of them; especially E1 to E2 & SDE Officiating promotion in a time frame manner of one month. All concerned are requested to submit the mandatory DECLARATION FORM to the admin section, Circle Office Patna to issue the E1 to E2 order. Declaration form is given below.
Also, a meeting with the IFA, Bihar Circle held in his chamber on 13th August’2010 regarding non receipt of EPF Statement by many districts times even a single time and non regular receipt in other units. He clarified that, now he himself is monitoring the case and asked for one month time for final settlement of EPF issues of all districts.

The PMO on Wednesday showed its concern over the health of its public sector units BSNL and MTNL by setting up a special search selection committee to identify and appoint appropriate CMDs for both these firms.

Private Telecom Operators to pay BSNL Rs 39,000 per ports: SC

 

The Supreme Court today directed private telecom operators to pay state-owned BSNL Rs 39,000 for every point of connection -- ports -- as interconnection usage charges as an interim arrangement and asked the PSU not to disconnect service.

BSNL URGED FOR PAYMENT OF  Rs.15,873 CRORE AGAINST RURAL TELEPHONY :

The CMD, BSNL has urged the Telecom Secretary P J Thomas to provide an assistance of Rs. 15,873 Crore to BSNL to compensate the loss in providing telecom facility in the Rural Areas.

Meeting with CMD BSNL on 05th July' 2010 at Patna:

A meeting with hon'ble CMD, BSNL held on 5th July'10 at 16:00 hours in mini conference hall, Sanchar Sadan, Sanchar Parisar, Patna with all Circle Secretaries of Associations & Unions of Bihar Telecom Circle. The AIGETOA was represented by Wasi Ahmad, CS. The CGMT, Bihar Circle infromed in the meeting that the Bihar Circle has incurred a loss of Rs. 375 Cror(approx.) in 2009-10 according to the initial inputs. A seroius concern was shown by the CS/AIGETOA on the falling revenue of BSNL and the fast erosion of cash reserve due to deposit of Rs. 18500.38 crore towards license fee for the 3G & BWA Spectrum charges to the GoI. It was demanded to get back those money from GoI as per the terms of New Telecom Policy 1999 as happened with the reimbursement of spectrum charges of 2G earlier.

It was also emphasize to make the accountability more prone in the system strating from the TOP to bring transparency in the decision making and better performance of the BSNL. Many other issues were also discussed regarding the functioning of the BSNL as a whole.

The case of Rule-8 was also taken up with the CMD and it was apprised to him about the seriousness of the cases.The CMD told the CGMT, Bihar Circle to look into the same and get it settle to its earliest.

In the last the AIGETOA, Bihar presented a memento to the hon'ble CMD on his visit to Bihar. Sri Amitabh Nandan ACS & Sri Prakash Shankar ZCS were the delegates to present the memento alongwith Wasi Ahmad, CS.

The hard effort of our Circle Secretary, Md. Wasi Ahmad & Sri Shailendra Prasad brought the desired result. Bihar Circle has agreed to count the training period  for counting of eligibility and accordingly modified the earlier list and sent the new list to BSNL HQ today by mail. We thank the kind intervention of AGM(Pers-II) BSNL HQ, New Delhi, AGM(E) Bihar Circle Office & ADT(Recruitment), Circle Office Patna for their valuable support.

AIGETOA, Bihar took the issue of counting the periods of training spent by JTOs in calculation of three years of service length for determining the vacancy year of SDE LDCE schedule to be held on 4th July’2010. Md. Wasi Ahmad CS & Sri Shailendra Prasad, met to the Circle administration and also spoken to the AGM(Pers.-II), BSNL HQ, New Delhi. A letter was also submitted to the AGM(E), Circle office Patna, for the same in the light of the BSNL HQ L. No. 5-12/2009-Pers.II dated 3rd Dec’2009. AGM(Pers.-II), BSNL HQ assure that the training period will be counted. So wait for some more time to be eligible for 2006-07 vacancy years also.

A meeting with the CGMT, Bihar Circle was held in his chamber. Md. Wasi Ahmad CS, Sri P. K. Mohanty ACS & Sri Shailendra Prasad were present in the meeting. A letter was handed over to the CGMT, highlighting the issues of DR JTO & SDEs in Bihar Circle. He gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured to resolve to its best.
The 2001 & 2002 batch DR JTOs, whose 1st IDA pay up gradation are due should send the declaration(filled) as attached to the Admin section, Circle Office, Patna. So that the IDA up gradations work can be initiated.

AIGETOA CHQ AIC

All India Conference (AIC) of AIGETOA held at Surajkund Faridabad, Haryana on 8th and 9th May 2010. The delegates from Bihar circle participated in AIC along with all India delegates. The Chief guest  of the function our honorable CMD BSNL Shri Kuldeep Goyal inaugurated the open session. Guest of Honor Director (HR) Shri Gopal Das, our special invitees Shri H C Pant GM (Legal) BSNL CO, Shri D P De  GM (Establishment) BSNL CO, Shri R K Mishra  GM (Personnel) BSNL CO, Shri Shakeel Ahmad GM (SR) BSNL CO, Shri Neeraj Verma GM (Training) BSNL CO, Shri P K Shrivastava GMTD Faridabad & Shri A. Circle Executive Council Meet of AIGETOA, Bihar was held on 3rd May’2010 at Conference Hall, Sanchar Sadan, Patna.
